2. What We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account: Email address, username, full name, password (hashed)
- Profile: Optional avatar photo
- Crossing reports: Photos of bridge lines, lane selection, comments
2.2 Automatically Collected
- GPS Location: Latitude and longitude when you start and complete a crossing report — only to verify your presence at the bridge
- Trip data: Start time, end time, crossing duration, bridge, lane
- Device info: Device type, OS version, device identifier (for fraud prevention)
2.3 What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not track your location continuously or in the background.
- We do not collect payment card information.
- We do not collect immigration status or travel documents.
- We do not sell your personal information.
3. Location Data
Location is accessed only when you tap "Go Live" and "Complete." It is used solely to verify you are physically at the bridge. Coordinates are never shown to other users. We do not track you in the background.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To operate your account and provide app functionality.
- To display community crossing reports and wait time averages.
- To verify reports and award points.
- To detect fraud and enforce one account per device.
- To send push notifications (with your permission).
- To process reward redemptions.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share only with:
- Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure.
- Expo: Push notification delivery.
- Gift card providers: Your email only, when you redeem a reward.
- Legal authorities: Only if required by law.
6. Data Retention
- Account and crossing data retained until you delete your account.
- Deleted account emails retained to prevent re-registration fraud.
- Device identifiers retained for fraud enforcement.
7. Security
- All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Passwords stored using industry-standard hashing.
- Row-level security enforced on all database tables.
- Admin actions require elevated permissions and are fully logged.
8. Children's Privacy
BridgeNet is for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us at .
9. Your Rights
- Access: Request a summary of your data.
- Deletion: Delete your account via Settings → Delete Account Forever.
- Location: Revoke location permissions in your device settings at any time.
- Notifications: Disable push notifications in your device settings.
